Introducing Caitlyn!
We are excited to welcome the newest member of the Bristlecone Therapy clinical staff, Caitlyn Gunst!
Recently, Caitlyn joined BCT on a part-time basis as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Before coming to Bristlecone, Caitlyn worked in both for- and not-for-profit clinical settings. In addition, before becoming a therapist, she was employed as a high school Spanish teacher in the western suburbs.
In her clinical practice, Caitlyn takes a highly personalized approach in supporting individuals, couples, and families to find hope and healing. She most frequently draws on aspects of narrative therapy, internal family systems (IFS) therapy, and symbolic-experiential family therapy. Caitlyn also incorporates mindfulness practices into much of her work and, when working with parents, she draws on various aspects of Dr. Becky Kennedy's "Good Inside" approach.
At Bristlecone Therapy, Caitlyn specializes in working with the following client populations:
Parents seeking healthier relationships with their children
Women transitioning to motherhood and other areas of maternal mental health
Teens and adults navigating anxiety and codependency in their relationships
If Caitlyn sounds like a potential fit for you or your loved one's needs, feel free to contact her today at 630-492-1388 x705 or at caitlyn@bristleconetherapy.com.
